How To Use Meditation Balls

If you've ever used a meditation ball, then you know how easy and powerful it can be. I first came across the amazing benefits of this product when I was watching some of the Mind & Life Health videos. It's an easy way to learn how to get in touch with yourself and focus your mind. I also found out how the mind and body can work together using the ball, and that there are different levels of meditations that can be done while using one. In this article, I'm going to tell you how to use meditation balls to help you meditate.

First, you have to determine whether you want to start spinning the ball clockwise or counter-clockwise. Spinning balls with counter-clockwise spinning are easier for beginners, as it takes some of the pressure off of your muscles. When starting out, use a ball that is on the easier side.


Once you know which direction you want to spin the ball, you can begin to move it in that direction. Typically, most people use their wrists or the ball itself to do this. Try to get the bearings of your wrist or the ball going in opposite directions so that the balls spin counter-clockwise when moving clockwise.

Like I said before, you can utilize the backside of your wrists or the ball in order to increase the force of the spinning process. There are two ways you can do this, and they are similar to using regular hand exercises. The difference between using the backside of your hand and the ball is the force you apply to both sides. Hand exercises are easier to adapt to, but when doing them using Baoding balls, you need to move them in one direction so that you get the same effect.

Baoding balls work in a similar fashion to acupuncture, as well. You use specific palms to "request" for specific things from the balls. If you want the balls to lower stress, request them to increase your energy. The same thing goes for blood circulation, you can ask the balls to circulate your qi.

If you want to learn how to use meditation balls, practice the same method I mentioned above. As you learn how to do it, you will find it more difficult to focus on the ball than on your hands. This is something you will have to get used to. It may take some time to adjust, and it is very important not to move the balls while meditating. When you do this, you become distracted, and you lose the benefits of the mediation process.
